A guide to visiting Pulpit Rock in Norway, one of

A guide to visiting Pulpit Rock in Norway, one of my all time favourite viewpoints! ⬇️

Also known as Preikestolen or Prekestolen, Pulpit Rock is a steep cliff which rises 604 metres above Lysefjorden 🧗‍♀️

Length: around 2-3 hours each way, this is a ‘there and back’ hike that takes you up to the viewpoint. It’s not too challenging but can get steep in places.

How to get there: The trailhead to Pulpit Rock is located in the town of Tau, near Stavanger. We took the bus with Pulpit Rock Tours which have a few departures throughout the day, we took the last bus there in the evening and the first bus back the next morning.

What to bring: it does get cold at night so layer up! Make sure you’ve got plenty of water to last you (at least 2L per person). Keep your camping equipment as lightweight as possible to save on weight, we just brought the tent and sleeping bags.

Where to camp: if you climb up the rock face above Pulpit Rock itself you’ll find a quiet rocky area with amazing views over the fjords, we went up here to set up our tent and had dinner while waiting for the last of the other non-camping hikers to make their descent. We then went back down to the rock and had the whole thing to ourselves!

The island of Grenada had to have been my favourite stop on our trip around the Caribbean ✨

We went out on a boat for the day that we’d booked through @viatortravel to explore the underwater sculpture park and reefs around the island - what made this even better? The captain had 5 dogs who would roam around looking for pets before jumping in the sea with us to go for a swim to the nearest beach 🏝️

A day of absolute bliss in paradise, would love to go back to Grenada and explore more of the nature inland - rainforests, mountains and waterfalls yes please!
